Travel Options

Below is a guide to travelling to the Extremadura region in Spain.

By Plane

Flying is the quickest and easiest way to travel. Madrid is the most convenient airport for Sierra Brava.

Budget Airlines EasyJet and RyanAir offer cheap flights to Madrid.

EasyJet

  • Bristol
  • Edinburgh
  • Liverpool
  • LDN Gatwick
  • LDN Luton
RyanAir

  • LDN Gatwick
  • LDN Stanstead
  • Manchester
Before you go ahead and book flights please talk to me first to ensure flight times work with airport transfers.

By Car

Driving is another option but I would only ever recommend this if you are in a group to keep fuel/toll road costs to a minimum. Benefits include no luggage restrictions and no waiting around at airports.

By Ferry

Ferries from Portsmouth and Plymouth cross regularly to Santander and Bilboa. Relax on the overnight crossing and then drive down to Extremadura taking in the Spanish countryside.
